In this bonus episode, we present our highlights from the 6th annual East Coast Comic Expo! Not only do we get to enjoy this premier event every year, but we get to talk to great people who create some pretty amazing stuff! André Myette, Troy Little, and ECCE’s own Brent O’Hara lend their thoughts to this year’s recap. Enjoy the show!
Monster Mike is back this week! Justice League is still in theatres and if you haven’t seen it yet, maybe Monster Mike can persuade you with his thoughts on DC’s latest. We’ll also close the loop on Star Trek: Discovery. The mid-season finale left the crew of the Discovery somewhere where they don’t know where they are…OR did it?
Be sure to tune in to CHSR 97.9 FM Wednesday, December 6th at 9PM!
Monster Mike is in the studio this week to talk all things DC! From the return of your favorite heroes to prime time to Wonder Woman and the Justice League on the big screen, we promise to squeeze as many super powers into the hour as metahumanly possible!
2016 was a big year for The Recap Sequence! When we debuted on CHSR 97.9 FM in January, we were just a couple of TV fans, jazzed about the return of the XFiles and hanging on to hope that Jon Snow was really alive.
Since then, we have produced 35 regular episodes, a 10-episode Speaking of Thrones stand-alone series and one nerdtastic, 2-hour, star-studded Star Trek season one finale episode.
Thanks to a recurring cast of expert contributors, a handful of celebrity guests willing to give us a bit of their time, and most of all, our listeners, we humbly and proudly look forward to seeing what we can accomplish in 2017!
And here’s where you can let us know what you think! It’s Barry Award time and you can vote for your Favorite CHSR Music Show, FavoriteCHSR Spoken Word Show and Favorite CHSR Host. Want to see “The Recap Sequence” emblazoned across one of those awards?
Please vote for us in the Favorite CHSR Spoken WordShow category, right here:
You can also vote for your favorite host. Is it Jamie? Is it Ryan? Is it an adorable lab-cultured Jamie AND Ryan abomination? Or maybe it’s just some other host from some other show – and that’s great too. CHSR has a talented field of contenders to choose from and all are deserving of your vote. That said, we’d love to have yours to kick off our 2017!
To help you decide, why not check out this clip of just a few of our highlights in 2016?
On this week’s episode, we’ll talk to Monster Mike about last week’s cliffhanger finale of CW’s “The Flash”. Has Barry gone from narrowly averting an infinite crisis to creating a dangerous time paradox?
“X-Men Apocalypse” gently roared into theatres last week, but with so much ado about “Dawn of Justice” and “Civil War”, how did Marvel’s mutants fare in the box office battle of the titans? We’re happy to share OUR thoughts on the matter!
And finally, with the “summer hiatus” season upon us, “The Recap Sequence” is marching towards its own season finale on July 3rd. Between now and then, Episodes 19 – 22 will be reduced to 30 minutes in length, supplemented by “Speaking of Thrones” on our next few Sunday broadcasts.
BUT – on July 3rd, we will be devoting the full hour to celebrating 50 years of “Star Trek”! It’s no secret that we are huge Trek fans so you can be assured that we’re planning a huge finale to our first season!
We’re not done yet, but it’s never too early to thank our listeners and supporters, so thank you! We’re already looking forward to Season 2!
“Civil War” is here and we can’t wait to talk about it! Monster Mike joins us live at CHSR Sunday night to discuss the aftermath of Marvel’s biggest event to-date, and what that could mean for the future of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
We’ll also take look at last week’s episodes of “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Game of Thrones”. Nick is proving to be the ultimate survivor while the crew of the Abigail deal with post-apocalyptic pirates, and Jon Snow is…well, I’m sure you’ve all heard by now…
Speaking of Thrones, be sure to check out our Monday “Game of Thrones” recap and bonus podcast right here on www.recapsequence.com!
Don’t miss this week’s episode Sunday at 9PM AST (8PM EST) on CHSR 97.9FM or online at www.chsrfm.ca.
